Quilt Shows
1037 W. Broadway Avenue * Medford
The Twisted Threads Quilt Group sponsors a quilt show each year in the spring for the Medford area community. The number of quilts entered has grown from nearly 100 quilts in 2010 to more than 200 quilts in 2022.
Our goal is to bring local quilters together to appreciate the talents of Wisconsin quilters. By displaying the quilts, we are all able to be challenged and inspired to create. Visitors to the show are invited to vote on their favorite entries. People’s Choice ribbons are awarded in each category.
Vendors from around the state allow quilters to shop from 10-12 stores in one location. They bring their newest fabrics, tools, and patterns for the attendees.
Food at the show is always prepared, served, and sold by an area youth group from local churches, schools or non-profit organizations. We want local groups to benefit for their organization’s financial needs.
Classes and demonstrations are scheduled throughout the quilt show. They are taught by Twisted Threads Quilt Group members and vendors. We all want to improve our quilting skills and learn those little tips and tricks that make our projects easier or more special.
Professionally trained judges provide written comments and suggestions if the registrants wish to have their quilts evaluated. The judge will also choose 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category of judged entries. There is no fee for this service.
Raffles provide a wide range of products for ticket purchasers and help to cover the cost of the show.
Admission is free with donations accepted.
